Yes, I understand fashion picks are a very cliche post, but I've been kind of excited to post this. See, this post actually contains items I really own and really wear on a regular basis. Cultivating your own personal style is a never-ending journey. Seriously, look at who you admired and attempted to emulate through your clothes in 2008 versus now. Even if it's the same person, their taste has evolved. Sure, colors, cuts, materials....staples may stay, but things always evolve. And not always by the dictation of who is dominating which regional fashion week, our styles evolve to our daily lives, our surroundings, our self-esteem.
See, right now, I'm still a bit uncomfortable with my body even with my weight loss I'm still not one for clothes tight on my upper body. But I love my legs, thanks to ballet and hiking. That's why I love trapeze dresses and tops. I actually have some weird fixation with them. I think I'll do a post one day about that someday soon.
Now I realize dressing like me isn't as intriguing to you as dressing like your favorite celebrity, but I am comfortable all the time for such a busy and active person who is cooking and cleaning one moment, blogging the next, and going to ballet and the grocery store in the evening. Pretty much, it's convertible and transitional. I feel comfortable and still in style.
Anyway, check out the links below in a new section I added where you can dress like me on the daily with some affiliates I've partnered with including:
- Lulu's
- ModCloth
- Julep
and yes even...
- Warby Parker
Check 'em out and let me know what you think!
What are your favorite Fashion Staples you try to work in every day?
